Bushel and A Peck

Some of our neighbors have a blog called "Bushel and a Peck" which I'm going to add to my sidebar blogroll. We're thankful for them for many reasons, one of which, is that they seem to be our partners in home repair. The tools and ideas seem to fly regularly between our two "vintage" homes. Just tonight they came to the rescue again with some salt so that we could get our van up our (very slight) incline and into the garage.

Our big snowstorm never materialized over the weekend. We only ended up with a little ice. However, it's been snow showering pretty steadily since about 3:00, so we're getting some fresh white today. Maybe enough for a delay? It certainly made the driveway slick! Better late than never, I guess.

Counting Our Blessings

My friend and former VA roommate, Cheryl, has just launched her blog called "Counting Our Blessings". (Her husband, John, was also Matt's rommate for a year...no wonder they feel so blessed! Ha!) You can read about their beautiful family at http://www.letscountblessings.blogspot.com/ .

Do ya need some cute?

My friend Karen just had twins last month and has a blog that's just about them. Now I'm not sure how someone with newborn twins manages to blog, but I'm really proud of her for trying. And if I know Karen, her blog will be quite a fun place to be. She just posted their pictures this week, so you can stop by and encourage her at http://balmertwins.blogspot.com/ .

Yoga is Yummy!

My Taylor roommate, Polly (Pol), has recently started a blog called Yoga is Yummy, which is well-worth the read. Pol is very passionate about Jesus Christ, her family, her friends, good nutrition, and yoga. Not to mention, she has more energy than anyone I know (except my son...It's a tie there, which still says a lot!)

Polly and I roomed together for three years at Taylor, and I know she was a gift from God. I can't imagine what college would have been like without her. I also give her all the credit for helping keep my abs so flat with all of our laugh sessions! I had a great time looking through my pictures trying to find some to put here. I've picked some good ones, but I'm just skimming the surface. She just made everything so FUN! The giraffe one is fun because it made me think of the "rainbow disaster", which Polly will understand. The picture of us in the masks is just classic, but I don't know what's funnier, the masks or the "Little Mermaid" poster on the wall behind us. What were we thinking?!
